Many people have become rather confused with the term "graphic design". People tend to think a graphic designer is someone who arranges words and images on a page and nothing more. We need to discard this false notion.
A graphic designer is, in the end, an artist who takes traditional and digital techniques and marries them to visually communicate a thought or idea.

In a period where the change we see in our neighborhoods is altering what it means to be American, or British or German or French, and a deep recession has created rise of hate media that seeks to blame problems on immigrants, the stories on this website stand as examples of successful bridges to understanding and friendship.
Alien Citizen seeks to casts a new light on the concept of what an immigrant "looks like," who an immigrant "is" and what that means in our communities. When an immigrant goes outside of his or her home s/he are often treated like an Alien, but at home s/he is loved and vital. The focus on relationships redefines the picture of an "immigrant."
